Dr. Katlyn Barr DVM

Dr. Katlyn Barr received her DVM degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Barr received a BS in animal science from The Ohio State University in 2010. While studying, Dr. Barr had the opportunity to travel to England and Australia and observe how veterinary medicine is performed in different cultures.

After graduation, this native Buckeye wanted to experience a new city and work with compassionate, caring veterinarians. Broad Ripple Animal Clinic was a perfect fit! In her spare time, Dr. Barr loves spending time watching movies, cooking, traveling, being outdoors, and cuddling up with a good book and her cats, Pickles and Keanu. Dr. Barr’s favorite moments, however, are simply spent with her husband and son.

Dr. Barr has a special interest in dermatology.

Dr. Barr’s philosophy of veterinary medicine: “Veterinary medicine has always attracted me because of the bonds that a veterinarian forms with their clients and patients. I want my clients to look towards me not only as a guide for making hard decisions and gaining information, but as a teammate in their animal’s care and well-being.”
