The American Animal Hospital Association, better known as AAHA, believes in setting the standard of veterinary excellence by establishing the benchmark for veterinary care. Its mission is to provide resources to allow veterinarians to deliver the best possible care to patients. To become accredited, practices are evaluated on over 900 standards ranging from quality of care to cleanliness to client services. According to AAHA themselves, only 15 percent of veterinary hospitals in North America have passed this rigorous evaluation and have gained the prestigious title of “AAHA Accredited.”

So, what does this mean for you, our clients? It means that at The Broad Ripple Animal Clinic and Wellness Center we hold ourselves to a higher standard. We go above and beyond what is dictated by state and federal laws, as The AAHA Standards of Accreditation are more stringent and rigorous. We are continually striving to excel, and to bring you and your pet the best care possible. Just as in human medicine, veterinary medicine continues to evolve and grow. Therefore the standards for AAHA accreditation are continuously evolving to keep accredited practices at the forefront of veterinary medicine. By maintaining our AAHA Accreditation status we have dedicated ourselves to upholding an excellence in quality of care for each patient and client. It is our way of demonstrating our continued commitment to you, our clients, and to our community.
